About Me
Throughout my 19 years of working as a creative in various capacities and industries, my experience has taught me one invaluable lesson: mistakes can be expensive but pays excellent dividends long term. The real power comes from having a readiness to admit to ourselves and others where we currently are and where we must grow.
You can learn a lot from a mistake, especially when you make the mistake — my setbacks are my most priceless human capital.
Ironically real success comes from the ability to acutely exploit your failures while having the capacity to leverage your limitations.
Educators say it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert, and I say it takes that long to grasp the issues and solve them adequately. My passion comes from taking risks to solve problems, in other words. The difficulty is my best friend, not my worst enemy.
Now, that sounds cryptic, but think more in-depth, and you will realize that statement comes from a person who profoundly yearns for knowledge and wants to find the truth. I suppose that is why Experience Design is so close to me and my chosen profession.
I am willing to go beyond the surface and dig deeper to distill the true essence. I like to solve complex problems by using relevant data. I enjoy having the hard conversations and making sense of what appears to be senseless. That is who I am, my waking purpose, and what governs my motivations. I stand firmly in my truth, and truth needs no apologies.
My design approach is rooted in the idea that questions lead to answers, and so my real goal is to uncover the right problems. The key to creation is understanding what questions to ask and, more importantly, how to comprehend the answers correctly.
The true essence of sound experience design is to help people find answers in a pleasing yet memorable way.
